Why do I have so much trouble all the time?

Ok - I have a website at Yahoo/Geocities. I wanted to edit the site tonight. In order to use the same format and enter the site, I had to use Yahoo pagebuilder - but, it won't open up. I click on the link and nothin happens.

So I go to Yahoo help - and none of their solutions printed on-line are applicable. I have all the stuff running I'm supposed to have, my Java is loaded, etc.

So I try to send a message to yahoo Help - and I get an error message that my browser can't access the site.

WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

What is it with you geeks? Why does something as simple as this have to ALWAYS be so frigging screwed up and complicated???????????

I turn on my TV, and it works every time. Same thing with my radio.

I turn on my computer, and every frigging day is an adventure - I NEVER know if things are gonna work properly or not.

GAWD this sucks!!!!!

Spyware - final take

OK - all the big spyware companies couldn't do the job - I sent them tons of emails and scan logs, and they couldn't stop the spyware from downloading malware.

So, Ace took matters into his own hands. I went into my Norton firewall and added my own blocking rules. Stopped the spyware dead in its tracks. Mind you, it's still lurking somewhere in my registry, but, it can't access the website that was triggering all the bad stuff that was infesting my PC.

What a joke - I asked all the companies how could I block these sites and no one had an answer, not even Norton who made my firewall.

Now, how could a non-geek like me come up with a simple solution that worked? I spent 2.5 weeks working with these anti-spyware companies and none of them suggested doing what I did, and it worked the first time I tried it. Knock on wood, it still is working - I'll just block more sites if I get attacked again.

Spyware Update

I've slowed it down, but, I still can't get rid of it. My anti-spyware programs either are finding things that are immediately replaced after they delete them, or, they are finding "ghosts" of spyware that are no longer there.

And while we're at it, why do most of these anti-spyware programs disagree with other anti-spyware programs. I'm running 6 different programs and none of them give me the same analysis. You'd think there would be at least some commonality in spyware detected amongst them all!

Oh well, y'all know what I attribute that to - I better not say it though, right?....

In case they get pissed?.....

Right? I shouldn't?...

MORE SPYWARE CRAP

OK - THE GEEKS AT SEMANTEC (NORTON), COUNTERSPY, AD AWARE, SPYWARE BLASTER, SPY BOT SEARCH AND DESTROY, YAHOO ANTI-SPY, AND EARTHLINK ANTISPY , VIA THEIR BALLYHOOED ANTI-SPYWARE SOFTWARE, STILL HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO RID MY PC OF THESE BASTARD POPUPS AND DIALER PROGRAMS.

I FOUND A TEXT FILE IN MY BROWSER (TEMP INTERNET FILES) THAT LINKS TO A WEBSITE (WEBSEARCH01 DOT SOMTHIN OR OTHER). I ALSO FOUND CODE WRITTEN IN THE TEXT FILE THAT TELLS ME (WHO IS NOT A GEEK AT ALL)THAT THERE IS A FILE BURIED SOMEWHERE THAT KEEPS LOADING THIS FILE EVERYTIME I OPEN MY BROWSER AND THEN IT TELLS THE BROWSER TO WAIT A FEW CLICKS, BEFORE GOING TO THIS WEBSITE AND DOWNLOADING SOME ADS.

NOW, HOW IS IT THAT I CAN DISCOVER THAT WHEN THE GEEKS CAN'T?

I BETTER STOP POSTING ABOUT GEEKS - SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS ARE GEEKS...
