Finally, FINALLY!!!!!!!!!, I get an e-mail from iTunes technical support. Guess what - they say I have to purchase Quicktime 7 Pro from the Apple store in order to make it work.
What a bunch of crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the heck does Quicktime have to do with burning music downloads to cds????
This is Aceyou's blog. I rant and rave here whenever I get ticked off....I get ticked off a lot...

iTunes CD Burner Problems
Geez - thought I'd seen it all. I won a gift card for iTunes. Went to their website - looked ok, they said you can easily download songs to your PC AND burn them to your cd.
WHAT A BUNCH OF MISLEADING CRAP!!!!!!!!
Everytime I try to burn a CD from iTunes I get a burner failure error (2123). Their downloads are protected and in a format no one else recognizes and/or are allowed to use.
I've spent the past week talking to my PC manufacturer, my cd manufacturer, my cd burning software manufactuer, downloading driver updates, BIOS updates,....ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WORKS!!!!!!!!
I've gotten crappy support from iTunes on this matter. My emails to their technical support folks seem to always end up in the hands of their music salepeople.
I think it's just a scam to get folks to buy an iPod. (Which I did by the way, they are kinda cool - bought a black Nano.)
Fortunately, although it appears that one might need an iPod to use iTunes, one doesn't need iTunes to use an iPod.

GEEKS...GEEKS...GEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!
Gawd!!!!!! - Just wasted 2 days of my vacation trying to fix an antiviral upgrade download problem. My antiviral subscription was expiring, so, I wanted to renew my subscription. BUT... they won't support my old 2004 version, thus forcing me into a more expensive upgrade that has features I don't need. So I do that - or try to!!!! Problems with the download - couldn't install it, ended up on the phone for hours with some southeast Asian technical support guy who spoke a form of english I had a hard time understanding. Finally got the damn upgrade installed, but then only to find that 2 of the files for one of the functions I didn't want anyway were corrupted. Everytime I started my PC I kept getting these annoying error messages about it. The geeks from the antiviral sent me to microsoft who sent me to my pc mfr. Everyone seemed to think that the only solution was to start from scratch - RE-INSTALL WINDOWS!!!!! GIMME A FRIGGIN' BREAK!!!!!! I wasn't gonna do that. So I mulled it over, did some research, concluded all I should have to do was try another uninstall/reinstall. Got on the phone with the antiviral company 2 days later, got another guy I could barely understand, and finally, FINALLY, got the damn thing installed correctly. .. I have a 2 year subscription, so, I shouldn't have to worry about this again til then, right??? HA!!!! I should be so lucky! Geeks!
